IRFF fisheries standard has been extensively reviewed and updated by the IRFF technical committee. All fisheries assessments to the standard will be assessed to this version of the standard from 1 July 2016.

Global Trust SAI Global has made available the 1st Surveillance Reports for Cod, Haddock and Saithe fisheries. The objective of the Surveillance Report is to monitor for any changes or updates in the management regime, regulations and their implementation, stock assessment and status, and wider ecosystem considerations since the previous assessment (12 months after the last audit).

Promote Iceland participated in the renowned event with a promotion of salted cod from Iceland under the brand „Taste and share the secret of Icelandic cod” (Bacalao de Islandia).
