Global Trust has made available the 1st Surveillance Report for Golden redfish fisheries, certified in 2014. The objective of the Surveillance Report is to monitor for any changes/updates (after 12 months) in the management regime, regulations and their implementation, stock assemssment and status, and wider ecosystem considerations since the previous assemssment and to determine wheter these changes and performance and current practices remain consistent with the overall confidence rating scorings of the fishery allocated during initial certification.
Catch quotas in Icelandic waters for the upcoming fishing year, 2015-2016, are set in accordance with scientific advice. Increased quotas are set in haddock and cod fisheries.
