Tasting the Golden redfish in Berlin

A large number of visitors have visited Fisch-Informationszentrum's (FIZ) and Iceland Responsible Fisheries' stand during the Green Week in Berlin. A selection of fish from Iceland has been on display at the stand and visitors have enjoyed pan fried Golden redfish. The Golden redfish was very well appreciated by guests as Golden redfish has long been one of the most consumed whitefish species in Germany over the years.

Two Michelin star chefs, Sergi Arola (Sergi Arola rest. Spain) and Eneko Atxa (Azurmendi, Spain) will prepare dishes with our quality salted fish from Iceland, in the Multipurpose Hall at at 14.15 Monday 25 January. Madrid Fusion is an international gastronomy summit.

IRF's workshop in London was well received

The fifth Icelandic Responsible Fisheries Workshop was held at the Embassy of Iceland in London 21 September. It was cooperation of Icelandic Responsible Fisheries Foundation, Promote Iceland and the Embassy. The workshop was well received with participants comprising of suppliers, buyers and producers of Icelandic fish and fish products in the UK, the science community and other guests.

Golden redfish Surveillance Report available online

Global Trust has made available the 1st Surveillance Report for Golden redfish fisheries, certified in 2014. The objective of the Surveillance Report is to monitor for any changes/updates (after 12 months) in the management regime, regulations and their implementation, stock assemssment and status, and wider ecosystem considerations since the previous assemssment and to determine wheter these changes and performance and current practices remain consistent with the overall confidence rating scorings of the fishery allocated during initial certification.
