Icelandic Delegation at North Atlantic Seafood Forum 2019

NASF is the world's largest business conference in the field of fisheries & seafood and is conducted annually. This year, Iceland will be the conference´s guest of honor, which offers various opportunities for Icelandic conference participants. View the Icelandic participants at NASF 2019.

A presentation program and panel discussion themed "Inspired by Iceland" will be held on the first day of the conference. 21 Icelandic companies from various areas of the fishing industry will participate - from fishing to processing, aquaculture, technology and services. Promote Iceland produces informative material for the Icelandic companies at the conference under the theme "sustainability, quality and innovation".

Norway's Prime Minister, Erna Solberg, will start the conference opening session on March 6. Along with her, Peter Thomson, head of the United Nations Envoy for Oceans, and Árni Mathiesen, Deputy Director of the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), will speak at the opening. Among the Icelandic speakers are Heiðrún Lind Marteinsdóttir, Managing Director of Fisheries Iceland (SFS) and Guðmundur Kristjánsson CEO of HB Grandi.

Furthermore, two Icelandic companies will participate in the NASF 2019 Innovation Award, which will take place on March 7th. Margildi and Sea Data Center are Iceland´s representatives at the event, in total 12 companies from various countries were selected from 45 applicants.
