Icelandic Culinary team at IKA Culinary Olympics in Germany

The Icelandic Culinary Team will compete in the IKA Culinary Olympics, held 22-25 October in Erfurt, Germany. The Icelandic team will compete on 23 and 25 Oct.

The IKA Culinary Olympics are the world's biggest culinary competition, held every four years and has over 100 years of history. Many of the world's best chefs from 50 countries compete in two categories, Culinary Art Table and Hot Kitchen. The participants bring part of the ingredients from their home country.

THE ICELANDIC TEAM

The Icelandic Culinary Team is ranked in top ten in the world and won gold medals in the categories Culinary Art Table and Hot Kitchen in the World Cup in Luxembourg in 2014. Number of the Icelandic team’s members have been successful in culinary competitions and know well what it takes to succeed. The team focuses on professionalism, accuracy, creativity and a competitive spirit and high quality Icelandic ingredients are the keys to its success.

THE ICELANDIC INGREDIENTS

The Icelandic Culinary team brings high quality ingredients from home, such as haddock, langoustine, lamb, beef, and skyr.
