The French food blogger Hervé Palmieri was inspired by Icelandic food

29 October 2014

The French food blogger, Hervé Palmieri, came to Iceland mid-October to get to know Icelandic food produce and culinary culture. Hervé is one of the most popular food bloggers in France and has cooked for his audiences since 2007 on the website HervéCuisine.com and his YouTube site. His trip to Iceland was related to Inspired by Iceland´s winter campaign and Hervé got two days to look into the Icelandic culinary culture, Icelandic produce and to cook for his followers.

Emphasis was put on cod, langoustine, and lamb meat which Hervé thought was excellent raw material. After a visit to Einhamar´s fish production Hervé cooked the cod at the restaurant Hafid blaa. At Ardalur in Borgarfjordur, Hervé visited a sheep farm and cooked the lamb meat. The Icelandic culinary team provided the recipes. Hervé´s trip and cooking was recorded so videos will be uploaded to his website and YouTube site soon.

Videos with clips from his trip and of his cooking of Icelandic langoustine soup back in France, as a teaser for the trip to Iceland. In addition to these visits and the cooking, Hervé went on a trip around Reykjanes peninsula, to the Geothermal Park in Hveragerdi and enjoyed Reykjavik´s restaurants.
