Certification Report for the Icelandic Cod Fisheries
Global Trust Ltd. has now released the public certification report for the Icelandic Cod Fisheries. It is available on the company's website for download.The recommendation of the assessment team in the report is as follows: "The assessment team recommends that the management system of the applicant fishery, Icelandic Cod (Gadus Morhua) (defined as Icelandic cod within 200 mile EEZ fished by all Icelandic registered vessels using all gear types directly and indirectly under the management of the Icelandic Ministry of Fisheries and Agriculture) is awarded certification to the FAO-Based Responsible Fisheries Management Certification Programme."
Global Trust Certification is an independent Certification Body which has progressed its capability to deliver the FAO Certification.
