Two Complementary Standards

The Iceland Responsible Fisheries Foundation (IRFF) is the standards owner and the IRFF Technical Committee is responsible for writing, issuing and reviewing the IRFM Standard and the IRFM Chain of Custody Standard.

ICELAND Responsible Fisheries Management Standard

The following standard is based on the 1995 FAO Code of Conduct for Responsible Fisheries and on the FAO Guidelines for the Ecolabelling of Fish and Fishery Products from Marine Capture Fisheries (2005/2009). It is designed to be practical and will provide a means to bring together the many aspects of best practice.
