WSC 2017 in Reykjavik

World Seafood Congress will be held September 10-13th, 2017 in Harpa in Reykjavík. "Growth in the Blue Bioeconomy" is the title for the conference. 


Welcome reception will be held Sunday, September 10.

Monday, September 11 at 9: An opening session on importance of human capital. Followd by parallel sessions on education, land-based aquaculture, and seafood sustainability. In the afternoon, there are amongst other sessions, Safe seafood supply, Future supply of sustainable seafood, and Impvoing education.

The opening session Tuesday, September 12, is on Investing in the new seafood value chain. Amongst other sessions: Social and market trends, Branding, Fishing vessel of the future, and and Emerging technologies.

Proposals are now being accepted for speakers and posters for all sessions at the Congress.  Submissions will be accepted until November 15, 2016. Scientific committee of the WSC 2017 will focus on diversity among speaker backgrounds, affiliations, nationality and gender when selecting oral presentations.
