Promote Iceland - Íslandsstofa

An agreement has been made with Promote Iceland about marketing and promotion of the IRF programme. Promote Iceland operates a seafood advisory committee that sets the aims and reviews the marketing plan of the programme on a regular basis. The committee is comprised of people from the fishing companies, processors and marketing and sales companies, as well as a person from the Ministry of Fisheries and Agriculture. The Chairman of the committee is Eggert Benedikt Gudmundsson, CEO of HB Grandi.

Promote Iceland is a public-private partnership aimed at improving the competitive position of Icelandic industries in foreign markets and stimulating economic growth through increased export. Working in close connection with trade associations, chambers of commerce, embassies and consulates around the world, Promote Iceland also assists Icelandic companies seeking to grow internationally. We provide opportunities through professional connections, as well as arranging bilateral events, such as seminars, trade fairs, press trips, and trade delegations.
